Hamlet to be performed on campus stage

Shakespeare’s iconic play, “Hamlet,” will be brought to life Feb. 27 through March 3 at NIU’s Black Box Theatre, Stevens Building, 200 University Circle. The play follows the titular prince of Denmark, played by senior acting major Emily Vitrano, who seeks to murder his uncle Claudius, played by Justin Cahill, to avenge his father. As Hamlet’s desire for blood intensifies, the bodies start to pile up while his mind starts to snap.

Ticket prices for the tragedy are $9 for students, $14 for senior citizens and $17 for adults. Times for the show are as follows:

 

Wednesday: 7:30 p.m.

Thursday: 7:30 p.m.

Friday: 7:30 p.m.

Saturday: 2:00 p.m. & 7:30 p.m.

Sunday: 2:00 p.m.
