Sheriff Scott wins unopposed
November 6, 2018
DeKalb County Sheriff Roger Scott ran unopposed in the midterm election, netting his sixth straight election win and retaining the position he has held since 1986.
Scott has not run opposed since 2010, and has overseen a rapidly changing DeKalb County in that time. He told the Daily Chronicle that the DeKalb County Police Department only had 15 officers when he took over. They now employ over 100 officers.
