Jesse White wins seventh consecutive term as Secretary of State

Jesse White has served as the Secretary of State of Illinois since 1999 and has been elected for his sixth consecutive term in 2018. Before entering politics, White worked for 33 years in the Chicago Public School system as a teacher and administrator. He also served as a paratrooper in the United States Army’s as a member of the Illinois National Guard and served on the Illinois General Assembly for 16 years. Since 2002, White has won with over 60% of the vote. As Secretary of State, White has initiated legislation aiming to improve road conditions and reduce identity theft associated with state licensed IDs.
