20 signs you might be a NIU huskie

When thinking of going to college, I never thought I would end up at NIU.
You may feel the same way, but after reading these 20 signs, you might decide you are a Huskie at heart.
1. You don’t mind living in the middle of a corn field.
2. A million geese? No problem.
3. You are okay with being 20 minutes late to class because there were no parking spots. #yellowparkingpass
4. You’re okay with living in a town where it snows 10 inches and school still isn’t cancelled!
5. When almost getting hit by a bus becomes a part of your daily routine.
6. Do you like hearing people’s personal phone calls? Great, because there is always someone Facetiming on the bus.
7. You probably live an hour away.
8. When there is literally nothing better to do than go to Walmart.
9. Grown men and women play extreme tug of war, and nobody questions it.
10. Going to a school where there is a mock castle that makes you feel like a princess, even though no queens reigned there.
