Seasonal party treat with only 5 ingredients: Creamy Cinnamon Apple Crescent Rolls

Holiday parties are just around the corner, but there’s one problem: You don’t know what type of treat to bring. Try to resist resorting to the basic grocery store sweets, and make something that will wow your fellow party guests.

Whether you’re hosting a party or attending, these creamy cinnamon apple crescent rolls will be an absolute hit with your friends and family. With only five ingredients and a short cooking time, these treats can be whipped up merely an hour before any get together.

Creamy Cinnamon Apple Crescent Rolls

Start to finish: 20 minutes

Servings: 8 rolls per can

Ingredients

Can of crescent rolls

Apple pie filling

Cream cheese

Cinnamon

Butter

First, preheat the oven to 350 degrees, and take out a large baking sheet. Open the can of crescent rolls, and spread them flat on the pan. I used Walmart’s bargain brand crescent rolls ($1.82). Baking directions are on the can.

Next, spread the cream cheese onto the dough. I used Walmart’s bargain brand light cream cheese ($2.36), but it was a little difficult to spread so I suggest finding a more spreadable cream cheese.

After you’ve spread the cream cheese on the dough, spoon some apple pie filling onto each roll. Any flavor of filling works for this treat, but I used Walmart’s bargain brand apple pie filling ($1.68).

Sprinkle cinnamon over each piece, and roll them up starting from the shorter flat ends, rolling up to the point. Keep them a couple inches apart from each other. The more filling you use, the harder it may be to roll the dough into crescents.

After they’re rolled up, melt about two tablespoons of butter in a glass dish. Mix a dash of cinnamon into the melted butter and spoon or brush the butter onto the tops of the rolls. Place the rolls into the oven, and cook for about 15 minutes or until the tops of the rolls are brown. The crescent roll container will have baking instructions but because of the filling it might need more time to bake. Enjoy!
