Incident Update: Police charge three individuals associated with Monday’s robbery

DeKalb Police made four arrests in relation to the aggravated battery and robbery, which occurred Monday at approximately 6:58 p.m. The incident took place in the 900 block of Ridge Drive, according to an NIU Incident Update sent at 4:51 p.m. by NIU Police.

On Monday, two victims reported four to five people, described as dark-skinned and wearing masks, robbed them of personal property and subsequently fled the area on foot, according to an Oct. 15 Northern Star article.

Of the arrested, Kajuannis Riggins, 23, of DeKalb; Brandon Gordon, 21, of DeKalb; Malik Jones, 21, of DeKalb, have been charged. One 16-year-old juvenile was arrested, and police are continuing to investigate the case, according to the NIU Police Incident Update.

Police are advising individuals who live in, or who must travel through, that area to exercise caution.
