The RHA Block Party brought Huskies together at 8 p.m. on Friday in the Chick Evans Field House after a call was made to move the event inside due to inclement weather.

Originally scheduled to take place at the Outdoor Recreation Sports Complex, the event, hosted by the Residential Housing Association, featured games, food, inflatables and music. Geared toward both new and returning Huskies, the event acted as a kick-off for the school year, getting students into the Huskie spirit.

The RHA Block Party is an annual component of NIU Welcome Days, a week of activities that help students grow familiar with their campus and meet other students.

Other Welcome Days events included the Huskie Fall Kick-Off and Jewel Jamboree on Friday, Saturday of Service and Meet the Greeks on Saturday and the Involvement Fair and President’s Picnic Sunday.
