The DeKalb alert system sent out a mass text message at 5:03 p.m. about a missing 9-year-old boy.

The boy, Gia, was last seen leaving Founders Elementary School, 821 S. 7th Street, wearing a gray and orange jacket and black pants.

DeKalb Police Department officials say Gia has been found and returned home.
