Roundtable discussion promotes community resources

DeKALB — The Annie Glidden North Revitalization Plan took a different approach compared to previous meetings at the third community meeting Monday.

The plan is focused on improving the neighborhoods in the northwest corner of DeKalb, which includes Greek row, University Village and the DeKalb Area Rental Association.

Adam Rosa, Camiros representative, said instead of going through a presentation, Monday’s community meeting would act more as an open house for residents to get to know more about the resources available within the community.

Tables lined the meeting room at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 830 N Annie Glidden Road. Northwest Medicine, University Village, DeKalb County Health Department, DeKalb Park Districts, the DeKalb Police Department and the DeKalb Fire Department had representatives working tables to answer questions and better inform residents of the services available to them.
