German to enter NBA draft
March 29, 2018
DeKALB — Eugene German, men’s basketball sophomore guard, announced Wednesday his intention to declare for the 2018 NBA Draft.
German will go into the process without hiring an agent, which allows him to return to college if he is not selected by a team, per NCAA regulations.
German led the Mid-American Conference in scoring at 20.6 points per game this past season, which ranked No. 34 nationally. German scored in double figures in all 32 games, including 18 games of scoring at least 20 points.
German’s 659 points this season is the third most in a single season in NIU history. German was also named to the All-MAC Second Team and the National Association of Basketball Coaches All-District 14 First Team.
The NBA Draft is set for June 21 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
