Senior Georg Lundkvist of the men’s tennis team was named the Mid-American Conference Singles Player of the Week Wednesday.

Lundkvist went 2-0 in singles matches this past week with victories over Cleveland State University and Case Western Reserve University.

The Huskies finished the weekend 1-1 and improved their record to 6-2 on the young season. This is the first time Lundkvist has won this award.

Lundkvist and the Huskies will return to the road with a match 12 p.m. Saturday against Green Bay and 2 p.m. Sunday against Marquette in Cleveland.
