There are always ways for us to improve our looks with beauty enhancements, like microblading eyebrows, makeup tattooing and more recently, eyelash extensions. I question if the extensions are affordable for college students and if the upkeep is worth the time.

For my extensions, I went to Amazing Lash Studio located in Geneva Commons. The place is absolutely stunning, and the staff that works there is super friendly. The process involves picking out a style of lashes you want. The styles range from natural goddess to fierce rebel. I chose the natural look for my first time. After you choose the type of lashes you want, you lay down on a soft bed, take a two-hour nap while they apply the extensions and wake up a new woman.

My lashes are now more voluminous and make my face look instantly more awake. One set of lashes cost $89.99, a pretty hefty price for a product that only lasts a few weeks. In my opinion, if you have the money, it’s worth it, but if you don’t, don’t sweat it.

Now I don’t have to spend five minutes in the morning applying mascara. The lashes make me feel good about myself; they give me confidence to go about my day knowing my lashes look great and symmetrical. If you’ve been thinking about getting eyelash extensions, I would highly suggest getting them. It is an investment, but to me, it’s worth it.
