From “Bachelorette” to Broadway

On October 24, Kaitlyn Bristowe announced her Broadway debut via her podcast, “Off the Vine.” Bristowe, known for starring on season 11 of “The Bachelorette,” will be hosting the Broadway show “Home for the Holidays.”

Produced by Kathleen K. Johnson (“Hair,” “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?”) and directed by Jonathan Tessero (Director of CBS’ coverage of Super Bowl XLVII), the show features both classic and contemporary Christmas carols sung by up-and-coming stars: Peter Hollens and Evynne Hollens from Youtube, Candice Glover from “American Idol,” Josh Kaufman from “The Voice” and Bianca Ryan from “America’s Got Talent.”

Although Bristowe has grown up with a passion for singing and dancing, this announcement is quite a detour from her days on “The Bachelorette.” Not only will she host the show, but Bristowe will also sing along in a few Christmas numbers.

“I grew up dancing and singing and I just love everything about that. I love going to Broadway shows,” Bristowe commented on her podcast.

“Home for the Holidays” starts November 21 through December 30 at the August Wilson Theatre in New York. Reserve your tickets online now!
