How to Make Your Halloween Decor Work For Christmas

By Ginger Simons

Despite the miserable temperatures, October through December is the best time of the year for one reason: holidays, holidays, holidays! However, if you’re a festive fanatic like me, you probably spent way too much money on Halloween decorations and forgot to budget for Christmas. But wait! Don’t box up those ghoulish adornments just yet. With these tips, you can rock the holiday season without spending another penny.

Spiderwebs

Ball ‘em up. Throw ‘em on the ground. Boom. Snow.

Ghosts

Leave ‘em where they are. They’re now the spirits of Christmas Past, Present and Future. Genius.

Lights

Listen, ALL lights are Christmas lights. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.

Skeletons

Skeleton + red hat + beard = Fad Diet Santa. Feel free to slide him some extra Christmas cookies.

Pumpkins

I mean… these are AT LEAST good through Thanksgiving, right? And once December hits, you can throw some tinsel on them and nobody will know that it’s way past harvesting season.

You know what? In the future, just buy entirely Nightmare Before Christmas decorations.

You call it being cheap. I call it being a savvy consumer. Checkmate.
