NIU to offer International MBA

By Zachary Khelm

Beginning in the Spring semester, NIU will be offering a new international path towards earning an MBA. The program launches in January 2018 and will give students the opportunity to build international business contacts while studying in China, Italy and Germany, as well as help them further their careers across the globe.

The program, known as International MBA, is aimed at creating employment opportunities for students and increasing their chance of success all while allowing them to experience life and culture abroad. NIU is happy to offer its students an education in business while simultaneously offering an education in cultures across the globe. Students can relish in all that Rome has to offer while earning a certificate in business management from the Sapienza University. They can drink in the beauty of Berlin while pursuing a degree in finance and they can cherish the memories that China can give them while chasing after a degree in economics.

A chance to study abroad is one that NIU is proud to be able to offer to its students who will have the opportunity to participate in workshops, mentorships and corporate visits as a part of the program. Students will be guaranteed internship opportunities through the program and will be able to utilize their experiences for growth and development in the international business community.

Students interested in becoming a member of the International MBA program must have a minimum GPA of 2.75 as well as two letters of recommendation. A non-refundable deposit of $5,000 is due upon admission into the program. Once accepted into the program, a once in a lifetime adventure can begin.
