Kishwaukee United Way’s Taste Event

Kishwaukee United Way’s Taste of the Vine has a new look and feel in 2017. The event will be from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 9 at St. Mary’s Memorial Hall, 322 Waterman St.
Taste: Bottles & Brews has expanded to include a craft beer tasting in addition to traditional wine selections, food and fabulous entertainment by “Jazz In Progress.” “Make a Case for the Cause” by entering to win a mini case of beer or wine, bid on a wide array of silent auction items and take a chance on the 50/50 raffle.
“It’s a fun way for individuals and businesses to show their support of community initiatives and have fun at the same time,” said Executive Director Dawn Littlefield.
This popular community event is a perfect opportunity for businesses to get involved and support the United Way through sponsorship and silent auction items. To get involved, companies and organizations can contact the United Way office at (815)756-7522.
Event proceeds benefit our local United Way, supporting 24 human service agencies and programs in nine communities throughout DeKalb County. At Kishwaukee United Way, an average of .96 cents of every contributed dollar goes directly to vital services.
If a reservation is called in by October 20, guests will receive a discounted ticket rate of $45 and one free $10 raffle ticket.
