DeKALB | DeKalb Police Departments officials arrested a suspect after an off-campus shooting Thursday evening at 1011 W. Hillcrest Drive.

Tyrese Bomar, 19, of DeKalb, was arrested and charged with aggravated unlawful used of a weapon. Bomar was seen fleeing on foot in an unknown direction after the incident, which was reported at about 6:40 p.m. A Safety Bulletin announcing his arrest was sent in a campus-wide email at about 9:45 a.m. Saturday.

DeKalb Police Department officials did not respond to request for comment.
