April 17, 2017
DeKALB — A town hall meeting for the 16th Congressional District will be held by constituents in hopes of giving community members an opportunity to voice their concerns and opinions regarding issues that affect the district.
The meeting will be held 6:30 p.m. April 21 in Cole Hall. U.S. Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-Ill.), who represents the 16th district, has been invited to attend the event and will be given the opportunity to answer constituents’ questions during the meeting, according to an April 13 Action Steps for America press release.
Actions Steps for America, a progressive activist group, invited Kinzinger to a town hall meeting Feb. 21, but he did not attend.
The event is a non-partisan initiative for residents’ voices to be heard, according to the release. Admission is free, and the meeting will be open to the public.
