Sycamore police chief on paid leave
April 27, 2017
SYCAMORE — Sycamore Police Chief Glenn Theriault has been placed on paid administrative leave for an undisclosed reason, said Sycamore Mayor Ken Mundy.
City Manager Brian Gregory made the decision to put Theriault on leave, according to an April 25 Daily Chronicle article.
The police chief can be removed with or without cause if the city manager and four-fifths of the Sycamore City Council alderpersons agree on the removal, according to the Sycamore Municipal Code.
Theriault, who joined the Sycamore Police Department as chief in January of 2015, is under a three-year contract with a starting salary of $107,600, according to the article.
Gregory could not immediately be reached for comment.
