I have an obsession with the Chicago series franchise. It features four great television shows on different days of the week based on the public services in Chicago such as police officers, firefighters, medical assistance and lawyers. The franchise got even better with its spin-offs.

I thought it was impossible for NBC to add another installment of the Chicago franchise. But, it happened March 1 with “Chicago Justice.”

“Chicago Justice” follows prosecutors and investigators as they bring justice to victims in Chicago. The pilot of the series was based on a crossover episode of the four Chicago franchises. It is a spinoff of the “Chicago P.D.” series, and one of the previous cast members, Antonio, played by Jon Seda, is now a regular cast member of the new series.

“Chicago P.D.” is a series that follows uniformed police officers and detectives as they do whatever it takes to solve cases. “Chicago P.D.” is currently my favorite Chicago series franchise because of the action scenes that are shot around Chicago. It addresses real concerns in Chicago about the police department. The series includes special appearances of the cast members from “Law & Order: SVU.”

“Chicago Fire” is a series that follows firefighters and paramedics of Firehouse 51 as they run into fires and face tragedy in their firefighter house. It is the first installment of the Chicago franchise. I really enjoy the episodes where they address gender inequality towards female firefighters.

“Chicago Med,” is a series that follows nurses and doctors in Chicago. It is the third installment of the Chicago franchise. My favorite character on this series is April, played by Yaya DaCosta; I really like her character since she played a recurring cast member on “Chicago Fire.”

A connection of all four installments is the bar “Molly’s,” owned by characters of “Chicago Fire.” Usually, episodes of each series end with cast members having a celebration at the bar.

I’m really looking forward to another crossover episode of the four installments.
