Students to Experience a Day in “Prison”

Come live a day in the life of a prisoner from 5:45 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Holmes Student Center Regency Room. First and Second Year Experience will host this event, which is to feature interactive events and 3 speakers.
At 6:10 p.m. Jack King from the Department of Sociology will be speaking, at 7:00 p.m. it will be Amanda Durik of NIU’s Psychology Department and at 7:50 p.m. Daniel McConkie of the Law Department will speak.
Students will learn about prison amenities and even write letters to prisoners. This event is open house style, so students may arrive and leave as they wish.
