President Donald Trump has been busy selecting nominees for his Presidential Cabinet. Here’s a look at what their roles will be and their backgrounds.
Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao
Role

Role

Labor Secretary nominee Andrew Puzder
Role

Ben Carson, Housing and Urban Development Secretary nominee
Role

Interior Secretary nominee Ryan Zinke
Role

Defense Secretary James Mattis
Role

John Kelly, secretary of homeland security
Role

The department has 12 bureaus located around the world and focuses on five goal areas, according to the website.

Scott Pruitt, Environmental Protection Agency administrator nominee
Role
“The mission of EPA is to protect human health and the environment,” according to epa.gov. This is accomplished by tactics including developing and enforcing regulations, giving grants, studying environmental issues, sponsoring partnerships, publishing information and teaching people about the environment, according to the website.

U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley
Role

The ambassador also informs U.S. officials about U.N. happenings and advises the president and State Department about what actions the U.S. should take, according to a June 20, 2005 ABC News article.

Tom Price, Health and Human Services Secretary nominee
