International Education week begins

Taiwanese students visit NIU campus in July 2014 to learn about American culture.

DeKALB – International Education Week celebrates the value of educational experiences worldwide. NIU’s Division of International Affairs planned events every day from Monday to Friday.

Events start with food related celebrations today. From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. is International Cookie Giveaway at the MLK Common, Holmes Student Center, DuSable and Barsema Halls. Also, international foods will be served in the Blackhawk Food Court and residence halls.

Events continue tomorrow from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., with a free International Movie Night in Cole Hall, Room 100, of The Anatomy of Hate; A Dialogue to Hope, documentary by Mike Ramsdell.

On Thursday, a Culture Fest will be gathering from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Newman Catholic Center.
