DeKalb County boosts support for local merchants
November 23, 2016
DeKALB | Small Business Saturday is a National movement to promote shopping at local businesses instead of the large chains that overpower Black Friday sales. DeKalb is participating this year on Saturday, November 26, at various local businesses around the county.
Started in 2010, Small Business Saturday aims to drive shoppers to local merchants to purchase unique items and gifts that support the community and keep local shops running.
DeKalb is home to many locally owned shops and businesses and bring charm to the downtown area, including restraints like the Junction Eating Place and The House.
Locally owned places also include the Egyptian Theatre, Common Grounds, and various specialty shops that can be found in the DeKalb County Business Directory here.
