Former president to be featured in DeKalb

57 years ago on Oct. 25, 1959, John F. Kennedy gave a speech at the Egyptian Theatre.
At 7 p.m. today, the Egyptian Theatre will play a newly discovered recording of Kennedy’s speech for the first time to celebrate the anniversary.
Jim Gibbons, Marengo, IL resident and historian, will follow-up with a tribute speech about the life of the 35th President.
