AMVETS Post 90 will celebrate all those who protect and serve the DeKalb community Friday at 2 p.m.

The celebration will take place at AMVETS/VFW Post at 421 Oak St. in DeKalb, IL.

Police officers, firefighters, health care workers, military heroes and 911 patriots will be honored.

There will also be a blood drive from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with live music from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Friends, families, veterans and all those that wish to support are encouraged to come and take part in the special occasion.
