NIU Honors Program will host a 5K Fun Run 9 a.m. Saturday at Hopkins Park. 

Same-day registration will be held before the race 8:15 to 8:45 a.m. and will cost $20 per person.

This fundraiser is donating proceeds to Birthday Boxes, which provide children in need of a birthday celebration, and the University Honors Program.

Participants are encouraged to arrive early for a chance to receive a free run T-shirt. 

Walkers are welcome but it is asked that strollers and pets be left at home.

The run will continue rain or shine.
