The Northern Star is hosting a scavenger hunt where students can follow clues to find a hidden medallion. Once the medallion is found, the student who found it will win prizes. Clues will be posted each day beginning Monday until the medallion is found.

Last spring, the winner of the Northern Star Scavenger Hunt was Emily Majewski, sophomore elementary education major.

Majewski won:

• $20 gift certificate to Fatty’s Pub & Grille

• $20 gift certificate to Tom & Jerry’s DeKalb

• Six $50 each rent gift certificates from Pittsley Realty

• Three gift certificates for large Vinny’s pizzas

• $10 gift certificate from Ollie’s Frozen Custard

• $25 gift certificate from Hometown Sports Bar & Grill

“I went out the other night twice and [Friday], I was out for 35 minutes,” Majewski said. “I stood at the back of the park [Annie’s Woods] and tried to imagine where the bonus clue picture was taken from. There were a lot of people out and it was a lot of fun.”

The medallion was found under a white Spruce tree in Annie’s Woods.
