St. Paul’s Episcopal Church to bless pets
September 30, 2016
St. Paul’s Episcopal Church will celebrate all creations of life by blessing animals 1 p.m. Sunday at 900 Normal Rd.
The pet blessing is often celebrated on the first Sunday of October for the Feast Day of St. Francis of Assisi.
As for the DeKalb Community Pet Blessing Celebration, Rev. Stacy Walker will offer blessings for all pets regardless of their size. If pets are not able to come, bring in a picture to honor the pet.
Livestock can also be brought.
In addition to the pet blessing, TAIL Human Society will be present Sunday. Students and community members
TAIL will accept donations for their animals and shelter.
For the safety of all animals, please bring them in crates or carriers if possible.
