Friends of NIU Libraries will host their annual meeting and ice cream social from 3:30-5 p.m. on the fourth floor of the Founder memorial Library.

Attendees can look forward to rare books, special collections and frozen custard from DeKalb’s local business, Ollie’s.

This is the second time the event will be held during the school year and not during the summer according to a April 2015 Northern Star article.

Friends of NIU Libraries is an organization that raises money for books, manuscripts and electronic resources that are not regularly in the library’s budget.
