Students take initiative in hopes of improving the environment
May 6, 2016
Three undergraduate students are working alongside Public Administration professor Eric Zeemering to study the Great Lakes Region in hopes of improving the environment.
The students are examining local government policies and initiatives to see how they positively impact local water systems such as lakes and rivers. After examination, these policies and initiatives can be shared with local governments across the country.
The students have each focused on a specific area in the Great Lakes Region.
Cora Dyslin, environmental studies major, has been studying the St. Louis River area. Adam Czamanske, environmental studies major, has been studying the Detroit River area. Charlie Oliver, geology major, has been studying the Saginaw Bay and River area of Michigan.
