Professors to share knowledge, experience in public lecture
April 18, 2016
Two NIU professors will be sharing their knowledge of theater in a public lecture titled “Where Drama Comes From.”
Kay Martinovich, visiting assistant professor of theatre and dance, and Robert Schnieder, professor of theatre and dance, will be presenting the free lecture at 5:00 p.m. Thursday in the Diversions Lounge Theatre of the Holmes Student.
Martinovich led students in creating an original work titled “Women in Light” last December. Schnieder wrote “Daughters of Waterloo,” a historical generation gap comedy. Both will be sharing stories about their experiences during the lecture.
The speakers will be focusing on the collaborative and inventive processes that coincide with the creation of a dramatic work, as well as the origins of the works, according to an email from the School of Theatre and Dance Box Office.
For more information, contact Martinovich at [email protected], Schnieder at [email protected] or the School of Theatre and Dance Box Office at 815-753-1337.
