The Veterans Association will hold its 2nd Homeless Veterans Awareness and Fundraiser overnight noon Wednesday to noon Thursday in the Martin Luther King Jr. Commons. 

All proceeds will go to the Midwest Shelter for Homeless Veterans, according to a flier. 

About 11 percent of the homeless adult population is veterans and 70 percent have substance abuse problems, according to the flier.

This event is free and open to the public.
