Video game camp to teach girls tech and story development

The Digital Convergence Lab will host a video design camp called “Just for Girls” that will focus on empowering young girls.
The camp will teach girls how to create and play their own video games 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on June 20-24.
The sessions will include lessons about how to program virtual spaces and develop characters and storylines.
Attendees must fifth to ninth grade. Twenty spots are available, and attendees must pay a fee of $250.
