The Department of Kinesiology and Physical Education will hold a panel discussion called “Concussion and Youth Sport” from 6-7:30 p.m. March 22 in the Barsema Alumni and Visitors Center.

Professor Paul Wright will moderate the panel consisting of medical doctors, policy makers, researchers and others associated with youth sports, according to a College of Education news release.

The purpose of this discussion is for the panel to provide families with information about the effects of concussions on young and developing brains as well as discussing details on the Youth Sports Concussion Safety Act, according to the news release.

There will be light hors d’oeuvres served and this event is free and open to the public.
