ASU professor to give Patriarchy and Colonialism in Morocco Lecture

Chouki El Hamel of Arizona State University will give a public lecture 6 p.m. Wednesday in Swen Parson Hall, room 188.
The Graduate Colloquium Committee, Department of History, and Phi Beta Delta-Zeta Gamma Chapter of NIU will present El Hamel’s lecture “Patriarchy and Women’s Resistance in Morocco on the Eve of Colonialism.”
The aforementioned parties will also hold a graduate seminar at 10 a.m. Thursday in Watson Hall, room 110 titled “Between Slavery and Freedom and the Denial of Racism in Morocco.”
