The Egyptian Theatre, 135 N. Second St., will hold a show by comedian Ralphie May at 8 p.m. April 15.

This adults-only show is a stop on May’s “Unruly” tour. May appeared as a semi-finalist on the first season of Last Comic Standing on NBC, and has been performing standup comedy professionally ever since. This event is a great show for anyone that enjoys standup comedy, especially students, said Alex Nerad, executive director of the Egyptian Theatre.

“Comedian Ralphie May has been doing this for many years, and has had his own special on Netflix,” Nerad said. “We’re looking forward to bringing in a comedian to provide a fun night. It should be a show that appeals to NIU students. There is an NIU Student discount, so hopefully we have a good turnout for students.”

Tickets for this event will be available on at 10 a.m. Friday at egyptiantheatre.org. Tickets start at $25 for adults and $20 for students.
