NIU’s Presidential Commission on the Status of Women will hold a conference called “Creating a Safer Campus – Policies, Training and Standards” on March 4, according to an NIU news release.

The conference will focus on NIU’s response to the Violence Against Women Act, an act intended to hold offenders accountable for violence against women by providing programs for victims of violence, according to the White House website.

The conference will take place from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Adams Hall, Chandelier Room.
