The winners of the 2016 concerto competition will perform at 8 p.m. Feb. 24 at the Music Building, Boutell Memorial Concert Hall.

The winners will perform with the NIU philharmonic orchestra, according to a School of Music news release. Songs played by winners will be Piano Concert No. 20 in D Minor, K. 466, Toccata Festiva for Organ and Orchestra, Op. 36, Trauermusik, and Concerto for Timpani and Orchestra No. 1.

The philharmonic orchestra will open with Overture to the Barber of Seville and conclude with Danzón No. 2.

The event is free and open to the public.
