Local gas stations fail tobacco compliance checks

DeKalb’s Road Ranger and Mobil failed a tobacco compliance check conducted Jan. 9, according to a Jan. 29 DeKalb Police news release.

The tobacco retailers, located at 933 S. 4th St. and 1740 E. Lincoln Highway, respectively, were the only ones to fail out of 28 checked. The compliance checks are made to determine if tobacco retailers are following local minimum-age tobacco laws, according to the news release.
