Kevin Kane and Mike Uremovich will return to the NIU football coaching staff, according to an NIU Athletics news release Wednesday.

Kane will be the defensive coordinator and linebackers coach, while Uremovich will be the offensive coordinator.

Kane coached the tight ends and fullbacks at NIU in 2011, followed by the three season as a linebacker coach until 2014, according to the news release.

Uremovich first joined the Huskies as a graduate assistant in 2001 and served as running backs coach and special teams coordinator in 2012, according to the news release.

NIU ended this past season with a 8-6 record and a 34-14 loss to Bowling Green in the MAC Championship and a 55-7 blowout loss to Boise State in the Poinsettia Bowl.
