Man arrested for three burgalaries

A Rockford man faces felony charges in relation to three smash and grab burglaries.
Andrew N. Sanders, 28, was arrested at his residence Tuesday by Sycamore Police.
The burglaries occurred in the late evening hours of July 21 and early morning hours of July 22 at the following gas stations in Sycamore: Clark, 227 E. State St.; Marathon, 503 N. Main St.; and Woodgate Shell, 1400 DeKalb Ave.
All three business sustained substantial damage as a vehicle was used to drive through the front doors of each gas station, according to police. The suspects took large quantities of cigarettes, and DNA evidence discovered at the crime scenes linked Sanders to the three crime scenes, according to police.
Sanders was booked at the Sycamore Police Department and transported to DeKalb County Jail on a $100,000 bond, and charged with three counts of burglary and three counts of felony criminal damage to property.
