Bieber vs. One Direction

Hands down, Justin Bieber’s “Purpose” blew One Direction’s “Made in the A.M.” out of the water.
I can’t help but want to hug Bieber after listening to “Purpose” with its fresh beats, optimistic and encouraging song titles and forgiving tone. He has definitely started to prove to the world he is on a new chapter in life after spiraling out of control in the past and a heart-wrenching break up with actress Selena Gomez. I have been looking forward to hearing his new album because of all of the social media hype. I definitely can hear AND believe the new Justin with his new album. Bieber’s passion is believable with song titles like, “Sorry,” “Mark My Words” and “I’ll Show You.” One Direction has no chance at a fair competition with the music they have come out with, although I do enjoy its radio hit, “Drag Me Down.” I guess things just aren’t the same without former Directioner Zayn Malik.

Justin Bieber’s “Purpose” is nothing less than incredible.
Say what you want about him, but almost every one of Bieber’s tracks is catchy.
The album shows growth for the pop star in talent and life. “I’ll Show You,” he tells the world. “Don’t forget that I’m human. Don’t forget that I’m real.”
Many tracks focus heavily on Beiber’s voice and remind us why we fell in love with him years ago. My favorite song is “Love Yourself.” It’s a chill track, but delivers an upbeat message. “Sorry” and “Company” are also great tunes.
Before the release of the album, Bieber hyped it up on Instagram and other social media. As a music lover, I feel bad for One Direction. Its album, “Made in the A.M.,” was in the shadows this weekend due to the release of “Purpose.” That’s not to say One Direction’s album isn’t good, but my vote is for the Biebs. His clever lyrics, smooth voice and hype won me over.
