Food Fridays: Vinny’s Pizza is staple of DeKalb diet
October 2, 2015
Pizza is a staple in the diet of any modern college student, and if you’re looking for the best pizza in DeKalb, try Vinny’s Pizza and Wings.
In addition to traditional pizza, Vinny’s, 221 Lincoln Highway, has lots of appetizers, including beer nuggets, wings and breadsticks, among other options. The long list of tasty side dishes helps spice up a plain pizza night.
In terms of pizza, Vinny’s offers a wide variety, including Taco pizza, BBQ Chicken and Veggie. Its plain options, such as sausage and pepperoni, are also satisfying. For bargain hunters, Vinny’s sells a 10″ one-topping pizza and two cans of pop for only $6.99.
Vinny’s also sells pasta, salads and calzones. The baked mostaccioli is covered in tons of yummy stringy cheese and served with garlic bread. I enjoy the crispy chicken salad because it’s a bit more filling.
For those with a sweet tooth, Vinny’s offers cannoli, cheesecake and chocolate lava cake, as well as cinnamon nuggets, for dessert.
I recommend a cheese pan pizza with fried green beans and ranch on the side, and grape soda to drink.
