Registration is open for Ally Program training, which is set to begin next week.

The Ally Program offers a network of individuals who provide a welcoming and supportive environment for LGBTQ students through the creation of LGBTQ-friendly events and resources, according to the Ally Program website. Members of the program will have “NIU Ally” symbols on their residence hall doors and buttons.

There are two parts to Ally Program training. Part one training sessions will be held 1-3 p.m. Sept. 10, 1:30-3:30 p.m. Sept. 15, and 5-7 p.m. Oct. 19. Part two training sessions will be held 1-3 p.m. Oct. 1, 1:30-3:30 p.m. Oct. 6, and 5-7 p.m. Nov. 3.
