Don’t let the heat keep you inside because there are a lot of cool things to do this weekend.

Today

Former Fairdale resident Joe Wiegand will perform “The Teddy Roosevelt Show” at 7 p.m. at Sycamore Highschool, 555 Spartan Trail in Sycamore. The show will take audience members on the journey of Teddy Roosevelt’s life and experiences related to establishing a national park system. Proceeds will go towards UNICEF to eliminate maternal and neonatal tetanus.

Friday

The Latino based organizations on campus will showcase their individual and organizational talents in “La Alianza.” The show begins at 7 p.m. in the Holmes Student Center, Carl Sandburg Auditorium and is free to the NIU community.

Grammy-nominated performer Richard Marx makes his way to the Egyptian Theater, 135 N. Second St., to share his talent with DeKalb. The show is set to begin at 8 p.m., and tickets are available online at bit.ly/1LxbRi4.

Saturday

The Latino Resource center will host its third annual car show. Head over to the Campus Life Building’s parking lot at 12 p.m., and check out some of the coolest cars, trucks and motorcycles in town.

Sunday

The women of Zeta Phi Beta sorority will host their 18th annual aids walk. The walk begins at 12 p.m. at the Center for black Studies. All donations from the walk will go towards to the Aids Foundation of chicago.
