An attempted sexual assault was reported to have occurred off campus at 2 a.m. Saturday on the 1000 block of W. Lincoln Highway, according to an NIU Safety Bulletin.

The victim, who is not a student at NIU, described the suspect as a 5-foot-5-inch black male with a short afro hairstyle, wearing a blue and white striped shirt, black pants and gray shoes, according to the safety bulletin.
