Military Student Services and Off-Campus & Non-Traditional Student Services have a new director starting this fall.

Eric Armstrong has accepted the directing position starting Sept. 16, according to an email from Eric A. Weldy, vice president for Student Affairs and Enrollment Management. The position became vacant after the resignation of Dwayne Malone.

Armstrong was previously assistant director of student veteran affairs at the University of Illinois at Chicago since December 2011, according to the email. Armstrong’s knowledge of laws and regulations relevant to veterans’ programs will benefit students, Weldy said, according to the email.

“Armstrong’s “experience with the development of programs and activities will benefit all students served by these two departments,” Weldy said, according to the email.
