SA to correct legislative oversight in emergency meeting

By Northern Star staff

The Student Association Senate will meet Thursday to fix an oversight in election policy changes from the spring semester.

The SA Senate intended to change the number of Senators who can be elected per district from eight to 10 an April 12 SA Senate meeting. The change was supposed to be included in legislation that eliminated a fifth senatorial district.

However, the number of senators per district still reads eight instead of 10 in the election policy, according to an SA Senate news release. The Senate intends to correct the oversight at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Campus Life Building, Room 100.

This meeting will be open to the public.
