Students will have the chance to spend time with huskies today outside of Stevenson Hall.

Sigma NU will hold Pet the Huskies, an event in which students will be able to interact with huskies from Raven’s Husky Haven and Rescue, 27779 Five Points Road in Sycamore. Raven’s Husky Haven and Rescue takes in Huskies in need, rehabilitates them and trains and socializes them for adoption, according to the organization’s website.

The pups will be around from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in an enclosure on the east side of Stevenson Hall. NIU mascot Mission will make an appearance from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.

Access to the enclosure is $2. Proceeds will go to Raven’s Husky Haven and Rescue, according to the event’s Facebook page.
